SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS


These living history programs are aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), especially for grades four, seven, eight, and ten. Enhancement of all students’ critical thinking skills, motivation, and relevance of historical facts,events, and concepts on TAKS social studies tests are integrated into these presentations.


Tom's interpretation of history in period attire is designed to educate all students. They are fun, interactive excursions into the past that have proven appeal to all ages and nationalities. Formal presentations, except for the Alamo tour, can include a Power Point presentation, depending upon the students’ needs.

Programs available include:

  • Life and Times of Theodore Roosevelt (in first person)

    Meet Theodore Roosevelt, one of America's most dynamic leaders, in the first person and find out why this "force of nature" has been revered as an American original, Nobel Laureate, and recipient of the Medal of Honor. Come be inspired and reminded of the timeless virtues that made America great!
  • Texas Cowboys and the Great Longhorn Cattle Drives
    Meet a Texas cowboy of the 1870s who will show and tell what it was really like on the great Longhorn cattle drives heading north to Kansas and beyond. Come on along!
  • The Texas Revolution and the Battle of the Alamo
  • The Hispanic Heroes of the Texas Revolution
  • Tours of the Alamo
  • Meet a Texian or Tejano volunteer of the Texas Revolution in full period attire and armed with his flintlock weapon.
  • The American Revolution
  • Meet a Union or Confederate Soldier who will relate the military, social, and economic events of America's greatest war.
